The Center for Microanalysis of Materials has one of the largest
collections of research microanalyical instruments available. Visit the
CMM home page for more information on our
instruments, and for contact information.
Public pages are available to anyone. Observe pages (intended
for use in specific scientific collaborations) are access-controlled.
This site uses server push technology to deliver streaming video. Many of the video pages will now automatically deliver an ActiveX client or Java client for video when using MS Internet Explorer. To install the ActiveX client you need to temporarily lower your browsers security settings.
If you have problems viewing the Live Video on these pages please
change to a browser software version which supports Server Push Technology
(most Netscape/Mozilla based browsers).
The TelePresence Microscopy Site has been optimized for at least 1024 x 768 monitor resolution. You should also be operating in at least 16-bit color mode (Thousands of Colors). If you reset your monitor to a larger bit depth remember you need to quit your WWW Browser and restart it.
If you are connecting using a modem connection to the Internet be forewarned that the Live Video images that this site is broadcasting will not be displayed in real time. You will need at least an DSL line to view the images at even a fraction of near live time.
